Affirmations Really Do Work

The key to victory in life starts in your mind. The way you think will obviously affect the way you act to a given situation. If you feel defeated in your thoughts, you will no doubt be defeated in life and vice versa. The trick is to keep your mind focused on the positive instead of all the negative. One of the most effective ways to keep your mind drenched in positive thinking is to make and recite positive affirmations every chance you get. Keep in mind that more you say something, the more you believe what you have said, and ultimately you will have or become what you believe.

Make a long term goal and write it on a piece of paper in two sentences or less. Make the affirmation in the present tense and make it positive. For example, say ìI am successfulî instead of ìI am going to be successful.î Repeat your affirmation over and over again, whenever you have the time to do so. Saturate your mind in it and soak it up. Make sure that as you repeat your affirmation that you relax and focus your mind on what you are saying.

This type of thinking will equip you to fight and win the mental battles of life. Every battle begins and ends in your mind. An affirmation will convince you that you possess your goal and that it already belongs to you. By thinking and living in light of that fact you will begin to attract and draw success and opportunity into your life and current situation. You must be convinced that failure is not an option and that success is already in your hands.

Another helpful tip is to post your written affirmation in different places around the house. Post it up on the bathroom mirror or on the refrigerator, anywhere you can see it. This will serve to remind you of your goals if you should begin to slip into a negative mind set. Using affirmations will sharpen your self-confidence and give you the boost of energy you need to continue reaching for your life goals.
